The aim of the survey is to develop an understanding of the needs of users and other interested target groups with regard to standards for environmental management systems in order to support the revisions of ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 as well as other related ISO standards. In Austria the ISO 14001 certifications amount to over 2.200. There are more than 440.000 organizations certified worldwide according to ISO 14001, with numbers increasing every year.
